Northern Lights in north-west Iceland

Heydalur farm dates back to the viking age and is one of our favourite places to stay in Iceland, run by a remarkable lady called Stella. Well off the beaten track , Heydalur backs onto the mountains and faces towards the Arctic Ocean. It even has its own natural hot spring!

This winter Stella and her family are offering a 4-night Northern Lights holiday combining comfortable accommodation at the farm with guided activities during the days. Heydalur is a place where you could stay there for a week and do different activity every day!

To learn more about accommodation on Heydalur farm, see their website http://en.heydalur.is/

For the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights we recommend that you go when the moon is new, so the sky is darkest.
