SAILING in ARCTIC NORWAY with Charles and Natasha Wara
Charles bought the beautiful ’Goxsheim’ and took her to Arctic Russia to be converted to sail. He met Natasha at the ship yard and, like a true viking, swept her off her feet! They now run Sail and Ski holidays and Summer Sail Cruises from Tromso in Arctic Norway. ‘Goxsheim’ has a traditional rig and is supremely cosy below decks, with a wood burning stove and even a sauna!

These holidays run by our friends Charles and Natasha so we know that you will be well looked after - Charles is an accomplished chef as well as a friendly skipper and meals on board are delicious! Sailing the beautiful classic yacht ‘Goxsheim’ is hard physical work, and great fun. There is plenty of hauling on ropes – but also time to snooze in the bowsprit safety net!

Summer Sail Cruising: The rugged shore-line and warming gulf-stream of the Troms and Finnmark coast provide an ideal habitat for a wealth of sea birds and we always keep our eyes peeled for seals and whales. These are unhurried days under the midnight sun, exploring uninhabited islands and sailing beneath vertical bird cliffs. We’ll drop anchor in secluded coves and visit bustling, colourful fishing villages. To stretch our legs, we’ll row ashore and hike into the mountains – or relax and try our luck at fishing for our supper.
