HUT-TO-HUT SKI TOURING: AN INTRODUCTION
BACKCOUNTRY SKI TOURING IN ARCTIC NORWAY
This is an introduction to off-track ski touring, beginning with one day on tracks, to get our skiing legs working. We’ll then embark on a five-day journey through the mountains. As our skills improve and our back-packs become lighter, we’ll ski further and further each day.

Our nights will be spent in cosy wooden mountain cabins – no traffic or street lights just a wood-burning stove, a sky full of stars and hopefully the Northern Lights.

DATES 2011: Early April TBC
TINY GROUP: Minimum 2, Maximum 4.
IDEAL FOR YOU IF:
- You enjoy cross-country skiing in tracks and would like to taste more of the wilderness.
- You’ve tried back-country ski touring before but your skills are a bit rusty.
- You are an Alpine skier, familiar with carrying a back-pack and want to try freeing your heels.

SKIING ABOVE THE ARCTIC CIRCLE
HUT TO HUT SKI TOURING IN ARCTIC NORWAY
Dividalen National Park in Arctic Norway is a wonderfully 'forgotten' region for Nordic skiing. The valleys are populated with mature woodland while, above the treeline, the landscape opens out into an expansive mountainous area with wide open valleys.

Five days wilderness skiing, progressing from 13 to 34 km each day and relaxing each night in cosy mountain cabins.

DATES 2011: April is the best time to go. We can fit the dates to suit you - call us!
LEVEL: Intermediate off-track nordic ski touring over undulating terrain. 13 - 34km per day.
