| | BIRDS, BEARS & BELUGAS See Polar Bears and swim with Beluga Whales the same day - then return to our welcoming wilderness lodge for home-cooked dinner!
Each summer, Manitoba’s 57,000 Beluga whales converge for the mothers to calve and we embark in small boats to watch them. Polar Bears are interested in the belugas too (though for slightly different reasons) and we’ve seen them attempting to hunt the whales from coastal rocks. We are the only boats operating in the Seal River estuary so these whales are for your eyes only! The tundra is alive with a host of other wildlife too - caribou, foxes and over 100 species of birds.
DATES 2010: July & August - only a few spaces left
GROUP: No minimum numbers, maximum 16. LEVEL: Fitness to walk for several hours on rough ground and to be bounced about a bit during the boat trips.
