Based from your own log cabin, spend wonderful snowy days exploring the untouched forests and hills of Arctic Finland.
You can do as much or as little as you like - there are guided snowshoe walks or you can go it alone. You can even hae a go at cross-country skiing.
In the evenings, relax in your cosy cabin - take a sauna and look out for the Northern Lights!

| | FELT MAKING IN FINNISH LAPLAND
Kaija Paltto is married to a Saami reindeer herder and they live with their family in the depths of finnish Lapland, surrounded by forest, hills and the beautiful Lemmejoki (River of Love). She draws on felt-making techniques and traditions from as far afield as Turkey and Mongolia but her work exudes the essence of the Arctic.
Visit her, learn about felt-making and stay in cosy wooden cabin. Cook reindeer meat and explore the Lemmenjoki river and National Park. A perfect retreat to inspire your own artistic creations.
Kaija runs feltmaking workshops for an hour or a day - or we can make individual arrangements with her.

An EXPEDITION JOURNEY IN FINNISH LAPLAND
Learn to be a true musher as you drive your own team of Siberian huskies across the wilderness of Finnish Lapland. Our journey takes you through virgin Taiga forests and across beautiful isolated fells to the vast frozen expanse of Lake Inari. This is the realm of the majestic elk and herds of reindeer.
Each night we stay in wilderness log cabins. In the warmth and tranquillity of these remote hide-aways we’ll dine by candle-light, relax in the wood-fired sauna and watch for the northern lights.

PRICES: From £1540 per person.
LEVEL: No experience required, but you must be reasonably fit and prepared for cold weather.
