This afternoon I’ve been talking to astronomer and ‘Science Junkie’ Huw James about a Northern Lights and Astronomy trip with us next winter.
“Over 5 days you could build up a really good knowledge of the basis of the universe” - says Huw
We’ll go to the Arctic in the depths of winter when there are 24hours of darkness – perfect conditions for marvelling at the ‘night’ sky all day.
You don’t have to be an astronomer or even own your own telescope, all you need is a healthy sense of awe and a very wooly hat!
Details coming soon – “Watch this SPACE” (groan). Do get in touch if you are interested, we’d love to hear from you!
P.S. This aurora photo was taken a fortnight ago by Jim, with his little ‘point and shoot’ camera – imagine how good your photos could be with a ‘real’ camera?!
